  • 1 lb. Butter
  • 4 1/4 Cups Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 Cups Chopped Walnuts
  • 3 tbsps Water
  • Aprox 3 Cups Confectioners’ Sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bring butter to room temperature. Add sugar and blend with mixer until creamy. Gradually add flour while continuing to mix. Mix in water and vanilla. Add chopped walnuts.

Shape cookie dough into round or oblong cookies using approx. one tablespoon of batter. Put on non-stick cookie sheet, or lightly greased regular cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approx 20 minutes until cookies begin to turn brown. Remove from oven and set aside until almost cool.

Place confectioners sugar in a large bowl or container. Place about 4 cookies at a time in the confectioner’s sugar and scoop the sugar on to both sides of the cookies. Remove and place in an airtight container to keep them from the humidity. They do not need to be refrigerated.

Makes approx 55 cookies.
